Sorry for the HORRIBLE title, but I have been in a rut this morning. Seven different full posts have gone into my trash bin because I just can’t say what I want to. The reasons vary… but I really just can’t write honestly enough without being a jerk. Pray for us. It is sufficient to say that we four Kings are having a rough time of it. I hope to post the story later because I believe it will be a beautiful story of provision. Until then…
Hmmmm.
Here are some cool things I have been reading this weekend. I would love to hear what you think about them.
First, Shaun Groves, a very talented writer indeed, uses metaphor to describe what Christians often do with God’s law; we take it and add to it. This beautifully written article clearly demonstrates the dangers of “setting up cones around God’s holes.” However, I would like highlight Shaun’s warning at the end of the post. Sometimes cones are useful. (If somebody comments, I’ll add more thoughts but hopefully you get the point.)
And, How to Stoop without Sighing. A great post by Jessica Fisher about serving without a bitter heart. I like the practical stuff at the end.
Oh, and this. It’s for the folks who like a good challenge. :)
More on Monday… my sick kids are asleep and my husband is at church. I’m gonna go sit outside for a bit. :)

Friend! Sorry I haven’t commented yet… I had only floated around your new site a little thus far. It’s great though. You’ve put LOTS of hard work into it! I’m excited about reading that serving without bitterness post you just mentioned. Thanks for all of the resources. I hope this endeavor proves fruitful, in multiple ways! Thanks again for babysitting last night… so sorry about your sick kids. Call or text if you need anything. Love you!!
PS: LOVE. THAT. PICTURE!!!!!
Thank YOU Shaun. Keep writing. I’ll keep reading.
Jamie, thank you as well. I’m so glad you’re reading. I love you sister! See you soon.
Sorry bout the sick kids. Our household is just getting over some kind of bug. I love how it managed to get to all five of us.
